Need

The determination to be requires the manipulation of the contextual system in which one exists to acquire that which one needs. What one needs presupposes one's self value; for how can one consider need for that which one does not determine valuable? Self value then, is the determination to preserve one's life, whose purpose, at its most basic, is to build. Living necessitates building/growth and purpose. I am reminded of one of the Creator's first commandments to be fruitful and multiply. Such is the need of life.
